Tyrus A. Russell born and raised to Michael and Deborah Russell, the eldest of 2 children, has been passionate about music since he was 8 years old. In 2005, Tyrus began his musical journey that would ultimately lead him to the Tribe of Judah, a college ministry on the campus of Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL where he embraced the gift of leading others into worship. Tyrus has had the opportunity to share the stage with such gospel artists as Leandria Johnson, Jonathan Copeland, Pastor E. Dewey Smith, Keyla Richardson & more. In February of 2016, Tyrus released his debut single entitled, "iWorship".

 

Known for his ability to command the stage and his natural flow in worship, Tyrus continues to brand himself in the Kingdom of God as a prominent worship leader, preacher, writer, and arranger. Tyrus currently serves as Worship Leader at Destiny World Church - Austell under the leadership of Pastor Wilbur T. Purvis III.
